The Popular Show Campaign 4 Unveils the Soldiers Party

Ever since the premiere of the fourth campaign, fresh DM Brennan Lee Mulligan has kept fans guessing with deep backstory, a colorful mix of personalities, and a thrilling plot featuring angels, fiends, and malevolent powers growing in power within Dol-Makjar.

Note: Key plot points for the third episode of this adventure lie ahead.

The Combat-Oriented Party Introduced

Episode 3 ended with a huge suspense moment and presented the first table of adventurers who will separate from the main group to embark on their independent quest, apart from the additional parties.

The combat-focused team includes Teor Pridesire (played by Travis Willingham), the agile character (Laura Bailey), the strong-willed figure (the cast member), the cleric (the player), and Kattigan Vale (the actor).

Dividing the Cast

With an extensive roster, it was evident from the start that keeping everyone at the same party would be impossible.

This explains, the opening chapters of the new season serve as an Overture, intertwining the individual narratives before branching into three separate parties: Warriors, Schemers, and Questers.

What Defines the Soldiers Table

Per the Dungeon Master, the warrior group is for participants who are drawn to a traditionally charged fight-heavy gameplay experience where non-violent answers are few and far between.

At first glance, figures such as the hesitant healer Wicander Halovar might look out of place, but the actions of the latest installment show why these specific adventurers are ideally matched for the combat party.

Why They Must Go

To begin with, the group has a clear idea where to go next after a intense opening clash with the enemy group.

A former ally of the deceased character—whose death kicked off the campaign’s events—used the enemy for his personal gain, breaking into the hidden lair, attacking Thimble, and stealing all the powerful objects to sell off.

Casimir then cleared his liabilities and escaped to a Halovar stronghouse in the remote area, beyond the city, with Cyd hot on his heels.

Personal Motivations

Moreover, each character has a specific drive to exit the urban setting:

  • The agile hero, as the close ally and closest confidant, desires vengeance.
  • The knowledgeable figure has experience in Timmony and cautions that it is a nasty environment.
  • Tyranny and The healer, having disobeyed his family’s wishes to eliminate the fighter and instead freed him, have no other options.
  • But, their reputation as prominent individuals in the influential clan could help the team access places they typically wouldn’t be able to.
  • Additionally, The grateful character vowed a eternal obligation to The cleric for his rescue and will now follow him anywhere.

Fugitives

Lastly, all of them are wanted by the authorities that control the setting for a range of causes, making staying in the city too risky:

  • Thimble and The hero are known criminals.
  • Tyranny and Wicander defied the powerful family and the horde of evil beings they are partnered with.
  • Teor is wanted dead by the family.

This results in them little choice but to journey toward the remote area in search of the traitor.

Upcoming Developments

According to episode three’s post-show segment, we find out that the Soldiers table won’t be around the following episode, leaving the other eight cast members to assemble the Questers and Planners tables.

Viewers can expect learning which characters will be where in Campaign 4’s last Overture episode, streaming live on October 24.
